Asthma- Lung Disease, is a lung disease and caused by the inflammation of the lung and as a result shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and chest tightness may occur. According to CDC, in the US 19.2 million adults and 5.5 million children have asthma. Many people who have asthma also have a history of allergies in their families. An asthma attack occurs when the muscles around the airways and lining become tight and it restricts breathing. When swelling of the lungs occurs it reduces the area between airways and they restrict as a result wheezing sound comes out. If airways are completely blocked then it leads to the threating of life.

The exact reason why people have asthma disease is still unknown but it is said that family history and environment that does not suitable a person may cause asthma disease. Insensitive people who are allergic to dust or something else can become the leading cause of asthma. The trigger that becomes a cause of asthma is,

  • Tobacco smoke    
  •  Air pollutants 
  •  Dust mites 
  • Stress
  •  Cold air
  •  Respiratory infections
  • Cockroach allergens

Symptoms of Asthma:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest tightness
  • Coughing and wheezing

You can examine asthma by visiting a doctor and he diagnosed it by comparing it with your history of a family, physical examination, and by asthma test results. The function lung test of asthma is called spirometry.

Treatment and control:

You can control asthma by avoiding allergic substances and things that lead to asthma. Airway inflammation also controls by avoiding allergic triggers such as pollens and pets etc. sometimes doctors recommend that daily asthma treatment and patients that have asthma use inhalers to prevent an asthma attack. Doctors suggest pills, injections, and drugs according to the condition of the asthmatic patient because these drugs have few side effects on the lungs. So be thinking about your health and take preventive measures regarding asthma.
