French toast Simple Recipe, French toast make a very tasty breakfast. You can make them quickly and easily following our French toast recipe. You can also make them for kid’s lunch box. You can also serve it with brunch or evening tea.
5 bread slices,
5 tablespoons full frosting sugar,
¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder,
2 to 3 drops vanilla essence (optional),
Milk 1½ cup,
Butter (to fry in).
Take the egg, cinnamon powder and sugar, beat them well together. Then add milk (preferably warm milk) to it and mix again. Now add vanilla essence drops into this mixture and mix it well.
Take a frying pan, turn on the flame and add butter to it. Pour the mixture into a big flat plate. Now start dipping the bread slices into it. Dip one side of the bread slice for about 30 seconds and then flip carefully and again dip it for 30 seconds. Now slowly and carefully fry it in the frying pan with hot butter. Keep the flame on medium low.
When the lower side is bright golden, flip the bread gently and fry it until bright golden on the other side. Repeat this for all the bread slices. Take it out in a plate and serve.
If you want to make it more flavorful, serve it with fresh strawberries, blueberries or blackberries. You can also serve it with a small scoop of vanilla ice-cream or some other ice-cream of your choice.
If you are into chocolate or caramel syrups, just lower the sugar by half or ⅓ of the mentioned amount and then after making the french toast pour the syrup and some nuts.
Vanilla essence is optional you can skip it if you don’t like it.
If you love cardamom, you can also try it with cardamom powder.
For making it simple, just skip cinnamon powder, vanilla essence and cardamom powder. Just use bread slices, milk, butter and sugar.
This recipe is for 5 bread slices, you can make as much you want increasing or decreasing the ingredients.
