How to Perform Salat ul tasbeeh (صلاة التسبيح) is for forgivness of all the sins (except for haqooqul ibad, which can only be forgiven if the concern person first forgives and faraz ibadah like namaz, zakaat etc).
Our beloved prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W passed this beautiful gift to us by teaching it to his uncle Abbas R.Z. Our prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W said to his uncle: Oh uncle shall I not give you, shall I not grant you, shall I not award you, shall I not do mercy on you, when you so ten things Allah will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past, new and old, those who have forgotten and those you did knowingly, big and small, hidden and revealed.
Then our prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W taught his uncle Abbass R.Z the way of Salat ul tasbeeh and said if possible offer this namaz daily, if daily is not possible offer it weekly, if weekly is not possible offer it monthly, if monthly is not possible offer it yearly, even if yearly is not possible offer it at least once in your life time (Abu-Dawood).
Salat ul tasbeeh is sunnah prayer consisting 4 rakah. It can be offered in any time of the day except for the prohibited timings of namaz. However, it is best to offer it before Zuhr prayer when the zawaal time has passed. In this namaz, a total of 300 times the following Tasbeeh is recited.
سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا اله الا الله والله اكبر .
After the Takbeer say أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم and بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. Now recite Sana (سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك) then recite the above mentioned tasbeeh 15 times. Now recite بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم and Surah Al Fatiha and Surah Al Ikhlas and then recite the above mentioned the tasbeeh 10 more times. Now do a ruku and after سبحان ربي العظيم , recite the tasbeeh 10 times. After performing the ruku stand and recite سمع الله لمن حمده ربنا لك الحمد, and now recite the tasveeb 10 times. Go for sajda now after saying سبحان ربي الأعلى repeat the tasbeeh 10 more times. After sitting from 1 sajda, recite the above mentioned tasbeeh 10 times and do another sajda. After سبحان ربي الأعلى , recite the tasbeeh 10 times. Then stand for second rakah.
This was the way of one rakah, the remaining 3 rakah should also be offered in the same manner. So that in each rakah the tasbeeh is recited 75 time. Then the sum of 75 in four rakah will give a total of 300 times tasbeeh in the end of four rakah.
After reciting surah al Fatah any surah can be recited. However, surah al Asar, surah al Kaferoon, surah al Kosar and surah al Ikhlas are best to be recited (shaami).
If in one place the tasbeeh is forgotten, then it should be recited with the adjacent next place. And similarly of in one place the tasbeeh is recited more times then the number should be reduced from the next adjacent place.
Counting the tasbeeh count with the fingers is prohibited (makrooh), however, one can count by only a small unnoticeable press.
